Terms and Conditions of Sale

D-Day in One Day provides all tours subject to these Terms and Conditions of Sale.

The booking of a tour constitutes a contract between D-Day in One Day SAS, hereafter referred as “We” and the Customer, hereafter referred as “You”.

These terms and conditions are intended to make understandable the rights, obligations and duties of both parties in order to reduce risks of disputes between them.

What is included in the price of your tour?

  • Price is based for a fully private tour. No other person outside your group will join during the tour. The price is a lump sum for the day and is not a price per person.
  • Price is stated in euros with VAT included.
  • Pick-up and drop-off at an agreed point.
  • Bottles of water.

what is not included in the price of your tour?

  • Entrance fees for museums.
  • Lunch.
  • Personal insurance for activities.
  • Extra mileage (unless otherwise stated and agreed) for pick-up and/or drop-off.

Booking process

Choose either a pre-defined tour in the list named  “Tour A-1”, “Tour A-2”, “Tour A-3”, “Tour B-1”, “Tour B-2” ou “Tour C-1”, or a customized tour which will be adapted together with Day In One Day.

Check if we are available (green) on the “Availability” page at the date you wish to book a tour. This calendar is provided for information only, so even if the chosen date is available (green), it has yet to be confirmed at the time of your booking request confirmation. Bookings are made on a first come, first-served basis.

Complete the online booking form on the “Contact” page. You must provide all necessary information for the good processing of your booking request. To confirm it, you must check the box that you have read, understood and agreed on these terms & conditions of sale.

A booking request confirmation will be sent out by e-mail within 48 hours at the latest. We will confirm you if the selected date is still available, the price and if a deposit is applicable.

Payments

Where applicable, a deposit of 150 euros will be required. A payment link (Zettle by Paypal) will be enclosed in your booking request confirmation. Upon receipt of your deposit, your booking  is secure.

The full payment or the balance of the payment is due at the latest by the end of the tour by debit card or cash and in euros only.

Here is the list of debit cards accepted : Mastercard, Visa, American Express, Union Pay, Dinners Club International, Jcb, Discover, Google Pay, Apple Pay, Samsung Pay.

No discount will be granted for an early payment

An invoice can be provided by e-mail upon request after the tour. 

Cancellation, change, late or no-show

All request for cancellation or change must be notified in writing to the following e-mail address : contact@ddayinoneday.com or in calling to the following number : 00.33.(0)6.65.38.49.96.

If you cancel at least 72 hours before the scheduled tour for whatever reason, your deposit will be refunded less the bank fees that occurred for the transaction (2,5% of the amount).

If you cancel less than 72 hours before the scheduled tour for whatever reason, your deposit will not be refunded. You should make sure that you have suitable travel insurance to be able to reclaim any payment already made in the event you have to cancel your booking.

If you run late on the day of the scheduled tour and you have noticed us within 30 minutes after the stated departure time, the start of the tour can be delayed. However, return time would remain the same and our fee would also remain the same, even if the time spent on the tour is consequently reduced due to your lateness. We can not be held responsible for any events that will prevent you to reach at the expected time the start point of the tour.

If you run late on the day of the scheduled tour and you have not noticed us within 30 minutes after the stated departure time or you do not show up, your tour will be considered as cancelled and your deposit will not be refunded.

If we have to cancel the tour due to an unexpected, unavoidable and beyond our control event (Force Majeure) or due to other reasons (excluding Force Majeure), your deposit will be refunded including the bank fees that occurred for the transaction.

Circumstances for cancellation or change by D-Day in One Day

We reserve the right to cancel or modify your tour at anytime for unexpected, unavoidable and beyond our control event (Force Majeure) including but not limited to damage caused by forces of nature, political unrest, war or threat of war, riots, civil strife, terrorist activity, industrial risks, epidemic, pandemic or health risk, on advice from any environmental health office or government body.

We also reserve the right to cancel or modify your tour at anytime for any event out of Force Majeure including but not limited to illness, family event, vehicle breakdown, strikes or any event that may compromise your safety during the tour.
We will do our best to notify you as soon as possible if such an event should occur and will try to offer you an alternative solution.

We accept no liability for any of the following such as bad weather during the tour, roadworks, traffic delays, sites or museums that are closed to the public for whatever reason beyond our control.

Insurance

We hold a valid national license “VTC”, delivered by the French administration as well as all other  mandatory documents required for the transportation of paying passengers in a vehicle under 9 seats.

We also carry all the other necessary insurance policies which cover our vehicle and its passengers and our activity.

You are however responsible to  cover the risks beyond the transport in our vehicle. We strongly advise you to subscribe a personal insurance covering all your activities against the following risks : cancellation, loss of luggage, legal aid, accidental bodily injury (when not on board the vehicle), repatriation, damage caused by third parties…

Personal property

You are asked to try to keep the number of valuables you carry on the tour down to a minimum. Our company insurance does not cover the theft of your items or belongings from our passenger vehicle. You must keep all valuable belongings at all time with you.

Transportation

You are required to wear a seat belt at all times while the vehicle is in motion.

You are not allowed to eat, drink alcohol, or smoke in the vehicle. Pets are not allowed on board of the vehicle.

You must have a valid passport to travel. If driving in France, you must bring the originals of your driver’s license, insurance certificate, your car’s documents and carry them with you at all times.

Claim

Any claim or dissatisfaction should be notified in writing to the following address : contact@ddayinoneday.com within 28 days after completion of the tour.

The parties agree to try and reach an amicable resolution of any difficulties or of disputes concerning the interpretation, execution, or termination of the parties’ contract before starting any legal action.

Competent jurisdiction

These terms & conditions of Sale are governed exclusively by French law. Any dispute concerning their application shall be treated by the exclusive jurisdiction of the “Tribunal de Commerce” of Le Havre, Seine-Maritime, France in which we are located.
